Microneedling Treatment

How does Microneedling work?

Microneedling involves the use of a dermaroller, which is a pen-shaped device containing fine needles used to prick the first layer of skin. The body responds to the tiny pinpricks by growing fresh collagen to heal the wound,  thereafter reducing the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, and pores. Microneedling can also be used to improve hair restoration.

How long do the Microneedling results last?

Patients begin to see the results of Microneedling â€‹treatment in about 7 days. Results from the initial round of Microneedling treatment last about 6 weeks. After enough follow-up appointments, however, patients typically need only schedule maintenance appointments about twice per year.

What are the side-effects of Microneedling?

Immediately after the procedure, patients may experience redness, bruising, or minor irritation. Some patients may see a small amount of blood resulting from the pinprick site. However, these side effects typically resolve in 2 to 3 days.
