How does Kybella treatment work?

Kybella treatment involves injections that utilize deoxycholic acid to destroy fat cells beneath the chin and on the neck. Kybella permanently inhibits those cells from storing fat in the future. This means that, with enough treatments, you can permanently eliminate a "double-chin" (or submental fat), as well as the excess drooping or sagging under the chin and neck, to permanently sharpen your profile.

How long do the results last?

Patients begin to see the results of Kybella injections after 2 to 4 treatments. The results are long-lasting, however, so after after about 6 treatments, there is no need for follow-up treatments. It is advised to schedule your treatments about 1 month apart.

What are the side-effects of Kybella injections?
​
Patients may experience swelling, bruising, and mild pain at the injection site. These side-effects are temporary and typically resolve within a few weeks of the treatment.
